Default A bucket load of faults... Any ideas??

Hi,

I did a VCDS Scan on a mates car this afternoon and was astonished at the number of faults found...

Anyone have any idea if there are any of these faults interconnected, hence the massive number found??

I cleared all of them, then did a rescan it and this is what showed up...

Any idea what causes these faults??

TIA FF.

its a 2006 Audi A4 2.0 Tdi saloon.

I didn't read thru your information, but try to look at the dates of the faults BEFORE YOU DELETE THEM!! The cars keep track of the last time a fault was reported.

A bad/weak battery can cause all sorts of interesting problems with these cars. Phantom faults are often generated.

The mass CLEAR DTCs option typically does NOT clear all the faults. I've gotten into the habit of going into each troubled module and clear them one by one.

I second Uberwgn. I betcha you've got, or have had a low-voltage event. Digital stuff doesn't feel good about out-of-range voltages.
