Default Car acted wierd...

Last night i started my car (it was about 20 degrees in the garage i was parked in). I was going around a 180 degree turn that i always take in second gear the car car started to like studder/stall kinda. I immediatly put the car into first gear and it did the same. Than the check engine light began to flash. This last for about the next minute and a half, and than it stopped? I have not cold started the car since, but i have no idea what it could be. Coil Pack? Is is possible for a coil pack to crap out and come back to life?

Any input would be great. My buddy is on his way over the his VAG-COM so i can see what code it shot, but otherwise i am in a loss.

Default Sounds like a coilpack.

Mine shook for about 1 minute and I drove it to the dealership to have two replaced. Bring it in

Default I'm not sure, the Vag Com said "Misfire Cyl. 1"

The only thing that makes me feel that this wouldnt be a coil pack is that i drove the car for about 30 miles without a problem once i had the studder problem.

Default I know. Mine acted up twice during a 5 minute period and then drove to dealer without a hint of an

issue. It smoothed right out for me as I sat and talked to the dealer about the issue. I drove it to the dealer and everything felt great, except feul mileage looked a little off but other than that if the dealer would have drove it he would have called me crazy.

A coil can develop a problem and then recover, but eventually it will die!

Default What was the level of fuel in your gas tank (?) (more)

There are several things associated with low fuel levels (less than 1/4 tank) which could result in low fuel in your fuel tank's reservoir and could cause that symptom. The reservoir has a small volume of fuel which is always available to the fuel pump for start up and idle when under unusual conditions such as parking on an incline with low fuel levels.

Was the stumbling condition experienced a very short time after starting?

Default I had at least 1/2 tank, most likely 5/8 of a tank

This happened very shortly after start. Probably not even 4 mins. Sounds like you are on to something.

Were you parked on a flat surface or an incline?

Well then, I can't think of a fuel system related possibility.
