Default Car shut down, wount start! please help!

Hi guys,

I am new to this forum and I am hoping to find the answer with your guidance, I have a 2002 A4 3.0 Quattro and I was driving when it suddenly shut down on me, below is the list of things I've checked:

Spark (Checked the old fashioned way, there is spark)
Fuel (Opened the line and there is fuel getting to the injectors)
Fuses (Checked all and there were no burnt ones)
ECU (Removed and reconnected)
Under the ECU took out the relay labeled 395 and jumped it with a wire on both of the relays and still nothing

so I was thinking maybe the crankshaft sensor may have failed?
Also, I don't know how to see the codes that it can throw out

I don't know the location of that sensor or if there is anything else I need to check please let me know!

Thank you in advance and cheers from Tijuana, MX.

Opening the fuel line and finding fuel doesn't mean the fuel is being pressurized by the fuel pump. A failed fuel pump will suddenly shut down, as I know first hand.

Does it turn over? Could be the starter. You never mentioned checking the battery. Did you start there? Is it just dead or does it try to start?

Wouldn't be the starter if it was driving and suddenly shut down. And if he checked for and had spark, that means the engine was cranking with the ignition on.

We're there any irregularities with the engine before this happened, such as a whining noise coming from the back part of the car (dirty fuel filter causing strain on the fuel pump) or it took longer than usual to start sometimes (failing crank position sensor). How about lights on the dash?

It is not the battery, and no issues with the engine, it was running and running really smooth, on another note in regards to the fuel pressure what should be the PSI on it?

Snapped timing belt would be my first guess.

When was the timing belt last chaanged.
Do not try to start the car until you have ruled out a broken or slipped belt. If it is a broken belt, the valves are almost assuredly bent as these are "interference" engines.

Checked the timing belt, all looks good, it does crank, no start, I've been reading that it could be the fuel pump due to low pressure, how many psi should it be?
