Default Check engine light after installing BOOSTED Intake CAI
I'm assuming its my install but I plugged in all the neccessary cables, hoses, etc...when I gunned the car, there was this weird mis-shifting response (twice), was wondering if I had to reset the ecu? I'm a newbie at this so if anyone has installed their Boosted Intake, please email me ASAP.

did you take the MAF off of the stock airbox and put it between your intake hose and CAI?

Default did that...would it respond that way if put backwards?
I looked at the picture and installed it exactly how it should

Default umm make sure the MAF is connected.check tthe direction of the MAF.
maybe try taking off the neg. terminal off the battery for about 10min

yes, make sure the arrow is pointing towards the tube going into the turbo

Default the MAF is definately secure, any drawbacks to pulling...
the NEG terminal off the battery? thanks for responding

if you pull the neg it resets the clock etc etc

Default ALSO resets ECU.
you reset your ecu...car has to relearn timing and EVERYTHING. yes this will happen if you are chipped...etc. if you drive it around for a while it will correct itself, but you probably will have to clear codes.
