Clicking when turning, but not the CV
few weeks ago I had the mechanic replace the wheel bearings on both sides of my 2004 Audi 1.8T Quattro automatic. Then I heard clicking from the drivers side when I turned right usually. The boot wasn't torn and no grease, but didn't know what else it could be so I figured it was the CV joint and replaced the whole axle. Put the car down and still clicking right out the gate. Figured maybe it was a faulty part so tried again with the same exact results. It clicks more when the wheel is turned in reverse. A few times it clicked going straight mostly in reverse but that's more rare. Took it to the mechanic who was stumped too as everything seemed tight. If I brake really hard I think I hear it but not always and definitely not as loud. Anything else it could be? Still drives fine nothing loose in the steering.
