Yes...if you don't get the Premium package, but then you also won't get the sunroof.

Default My dealer said that it would be a real difficult time to find one.

and that 90+% were inported with the premium package. this was in 03 and relevant to quattro models. And I don't know how accurate that is, may have been a sales scheme.

Default No dealer would order a car w/o sunroof or leather/leatherette to sit on the lot...

There just aren't enough people looking for a car that stripped down. Chances are, you'd have to do a special order.

Default I have cloth on 03, had to sacrifice sunroof to get cloth.

Funny story, Hoffman in East Hartford, CT had several different exterior/interior combos to choose from. I think he had 6 or 8.

Guy in Wallingford said, "You'll never find one of those on the east coast" I said, "That's funny. Hoffman Audi 20 minutes north of here has several. Goodbye." He they replies, "Do you want my card?"

He proved himself to be an a-hole in less than a minute anyways.

That was what I looked into and he still thought it would be a big headache.

Default He's being lazy. Special orders are part of their job and they aren't a headache...

Obviously, it's not as easy for him as it would be to push you into a car that he already has on the lot, but he should be able to do it. If he won't, find a salesperson who will.

Default Right on! I special ordered to get cloth.

As long as you can handle the wait (about 3 months), you can get the car the way you want it. For the most part. You may have to pay slightly more because they'd rather sell what they have on the lot.

Jeff, did they require a non-refundable deposit or anything?
