Difference on powder coating vs. painting wheels?
 

price for both and whats the durability of both choices?

but i have yet to see a problem with painted wheels.

powder coating is stronger....powerder coating is a slightly more involved process so it can be more
 

expensive, but on the other hand painting usually requires more time and more coats of paint.

powder coating = tough!

maybe a dumb question, but why is it called "powder" coating?

because that's exactly what they do
 

they spray the surface down with a glasslike powder iirc, and bake the item that is being powdercoated to cure the powdercoat..end result is similar to a nice paint job, but more durable
