Engine Mounts/Engine Movement when cold, Quick question
First post so here goes, I did search as well BTW but nothing really answered the question so, err, well here goes.
Basically I've noticed that my B6 TDI Quattro has got a bit noiser over the last few days (Deeper tone, not disimilar to a leaking exhaust)
I am getting the exhaust leak checked but wondered whether this could be caused by engine mounts going bad (I have had this on other cars causing the exhaust or other pipes to come loose)
Basically the only symptoms I have are when starting the car the whole car moves from side to side (As you turn the starter) Also whilst warming up if you gently blip the throttle (A couple of hundred rpm) the car also rocks from side to side in time with engine rpm. It then settles down. There is not other vibration (Clutch sometimes feels a bit odd but it is a brand new clutch)
Obviously I expect a bit of movement due to the configuration of the engine but is this normal? It's certainly not what I expected ...
Any thoughts and experiences would be appreciated.
