Interesting fact: A CVT is 1gal/261mi more fuel efficient then a 5sp Manual.

I thought our 1.8t engines were 170 HP

US-spec is 170. Euro-spec was 150 in most countries, now its 163.

It's amazing I know, when I tell people my CVT is as efficient and quick as a 5 speed- it's a WOW!!

In a stock 1.8T it is. However, the manual 3.0 and chipped 1.8T have posted lower times.

Default Well, the CVT is NOT as quick as 5-Speed, the CVT is faster !
Audi claims that the CVT is faster than the manual 5-Speed ..

1.8T 5-Speed (Not quattro) does the 1/4 mile in 16.2 sec AND the 1.8T CVT does 1/4 mile in 15.9 sec ...... 0.3 sec faster than the 5-Speed
1/4M = 16.2 : 15.9 sec
