Default Fair price to have all control arms replaced...

My mechanic is recommending replacement of all the control arms on my 2004 A4 Quattro 1.8T. He proposes to install a "kit" for about $1500. Does this seem like a reasonable price for this work?

Considering you can get a complete control arm kit for about 450-500 bucks that seams like quite a bit for labor.

Average independent Audi repair shop is about 60-80 bucks an hour. A good mechanic should be able to get a everything done in a half days work I would imagine.

Just my .02

Hope this helps!

My mechanic is charging me $350 for labor. You will also need an alighnment. Your quote is about $600 more than a decent price.
