Default Finally decided on what to do, APR Stage 1+ is on the way...

I'm Mr. Indecisive no more. While waiting for the Stage 3, I decided to go ahead with their Stage 1+ for a couple reasons. Initially I was going to try the Revo K04 from Ecode, Mike and Jet have proved that a K04 can make good power and David at Ecode was gonna give me a great deal, but after learning that APR uses the same injectors for their Stage 1+ as they do with their Stage 3 for the B6, I figured it would be more cost effective and I would already have one major component to the Stage 3.

Also with the Stage 3 you need to run a module on the ECU, so I figured I'd do that now so I don't have to resend the ECU again, I can program the new Stage 3 file into the ECU myself. Based on the few posts I've read so far, the Stage 1+ looks promising. I've been lucky in that I've had the opportunity to try all the tuner's software.

Chris George at APR has been awesome, can't wait for the Stage 3, in two weeks, : ). If it is anything like the B5 kits then I'm in good shape. Power is one thing, but their hardware is unreal, I will be going with their FMIC as well. Can't wait.

Sounds like a reasonable thing to do. You going to post track times and dynos of the 1+ bud?

Default Hey Mike, I will most likely be doing that...

Gonna try the 100 octane, I will miss the SPS3, but I'm excited about trying the big injector program, and I will have the option of all the APR programs which can be changed with the cruise control, so I still have options, even more : -) I'll keep you posted bud.

Default I hear you Amir, but I never waited for dyno #'s when I ran the other chips..

I still think there's untapped power from the K03 if you add more fuel, and these injectors should supply plenty. It may not make more peak power, but it will be a smoother power delivery thoughout the rev range. Also the injector aspect made it a much easier and appealing decision, plus I got a great deal on it. : ) I love the idea of switching between a few programs, etc. The ECU will be ready for the Stage 3 as well. Will it blow me away? Not sure, we'll see.
