Footwell lights not working

Footwell lights not working
It is dead on the Cabriolet forum so I am cross posting.
After years between Audis, I'm back in the fold.
Have a new-to-me 2003 A4 Cabriolet 3.0 FWD with a few issues I'm trying to sort out.
1. None of the footwell lights work, nor the glove box light. Door lights and front reading lights work OK. Checked fuse F2 and fuse is fine. Door lights are fine as is the cabin light.
2. Fuel door locking/not working and seems that previous owner at some point may have disconnected wiring. at some point for some reason.
I have a VAGCOM so can do some looking.
Any suggestions appreciated.
