i'm getting my new a4 via a dealer trade from chicago. I believe chicago requires cars to have a front license plate. my state does not.

does anyone from chicago know if all new audis sold in chicago come with the front plate holder bolted onto the bumper, or is this something that is done as a part of dealer prep just before delivery?

I'm worried that I may be getting a car with a bunch of holes in the front bumper.

Call them now! Tell them not to put it on. The front license plate is part on PDI (perfect Delivery inspection) They do not need to put it on at all.

I told my dealer if they put it on I was not going to take the car.

it may be already put on the car. I had a dealer trade and the previous dealer had installed it and prepped the car a bit before my dealer took it in. I think they do this to save time at the pos.

I specifically instructed my dealer to NOT INSTAL front plates. No problem, and it is required here
