Front right window "screeching" when going up or down.
The window goes up and down fine, no stopping or stuttering but makes a screeching noise. I've cleaned the glass on both sides, nice and smooth. Thought it might be the rubber/felt strip at the base of the glass so I cleaned that but didn't change anything.
Does that piece at the base of the glass have to be changed or anything else I can do to stop the screeching? Just sounds like sticky rubber dragging along the glass. |
the channels and the pin/roller for lack of the appropriate terms need some lube.

my guess is that requires taking the door panel off?
i'm having kinda the same problem with my drivers window. was hoping to avoid taking the door panel off.....

silicone lube the run rubbers
get some silicone spray from the local auto parts store and spray it into both run rubbers in the door, no door panel removal requied, run the window up and down a couple times and then bam no more squeak.

Cool, thanks! I'll go find some today.

That would be a PITA.
