Post #15 described what caused my fuel gauge problems. If the pump has been replaced, first thing to look for is the overflow tube, which needs to fit through a counter-sunk funnel holder in the tank's fuel pump mount. Otherwise, it gets in the way of the float arm.

Hello!
I'm lucky to found this forum...
My A4 B6 Cabriolet has got an issue, it didn't show the average, and the fuel consumption... The fuel needle is ok.
I try this trick, maybe it works, but not... Anybody experienced like this? The car's computer did not say nothing error. I check it with a service computer, it also says OK to everything...
So, any ideas...?
Thanks!

Does your wiper stalk have a button/toggle switch on the end of it? If yes try pressing it multiple times to see if anything changes on the display.

Of course. But is shows, both consumptions are 0l/km, and the maximal travel length is 2000Km...

Suggest using VCDS and measuring block 4 to determine whether the instrument cluster is getting a fuel sensor reading and measurement block 9 on the ECU to see what that thinks the fuel rate is.

Default audi A4 b8 fuel gauge not working

I wanted to pull the fuses as suggested but this thing has 3 different fuse boxes and the ones I wanted to get into were difficult to open and didn’t want to damage anything. So disconnected the battery and reconnected n problem solved.

Used this suggestion to reset the fuel gauge in my 2012 A5 Coupe. Difference was the location of the fuses. The Fuel Pump fuse was Brown #3 of the driver's side fuse box while the Instrument Cluster was Brown #4 on the passenger side fuse box. Thanks for the post!
