Gas Gauge Problema

Gas Gauge Problema
I have an 02 A4 3.0 and recently the gas gauge is "sticking". When I say sticking, i dont mean that it never goes up or down, instead, it is shifted slightly. For example, when the tank is full, the needle is above full and when the car is off and the gauge should be at E it is at 1/4 tank. Anyone know whats going on? thanks
