Default Headlight Rubber Cover (Back of headlight)

Hello,

A year ago I bought a used A4 1.8T/Quattro and the couple of days ago one of the kids noticed I had a couple of flies in one of the headlights. (They were dead)

I pulled the headlight assys and they both have 3/4" holes in the robber cap you'd take off to replace the bulbs. I'm assuming that the previous owner had installed HIDs and removed them when they turned the car in (Lease).

Any ideas on where I could buy them other than at the dealer? I.E. cheaper.

New to the board - did a search and didn't find anything on this.

Thanks!

Difficult to get them separate, just seal them with duct tape.

Bulb access covers. Dealer only item. No need to supply an aftermarket version.

Thanks guys. I guess I'll got with the duct tape. Dealer quoted $27 BTW.

Haapy New Year! (All of my rides just aged a year last night)

Default Check that tape periodically, because it will age and eventually leak.

You don't want water in there.

maybe a bead of silicone around the inside lip will help.
