Heating doesnt work? what to do??

i have an 2005 audi a4 and my heaters just putting out colda air,temperature guage shows hot n when car is idling its gets warm, anybody any ideas what wud be the problem? thanks

If the temp gage is running normally, it is usually the heater core.
