Hmm....just realized that I have 2 AW accounts
when I checked to see my total # of posts, it was at 12, which is slightly less than 3,000+. I'm a doofus sometimes. So now I know why the threads I track at work aren't highlighted at home & vice-versa....duh! Anyway, I had to reconfigure the secondary account's e-mail addy & screen name, so I could reclaim this one. I don't know how to delete accounts, and after STFA, evidently no one else does either. Maybe I subconsciously wanted to be a noob again.....or maybe not.

You're still a n00b even with 3000+ posts ;-)
Then again I'm a n00b as well.

looking at your car makes me a little mad i didnt hold out for another lazer red
...lazer is sexy!
|
LOL, I know.
I don't post too much anymore, but am always lurking this forum. I used to be a devout 12 Valve Development Forum guy, but I got rid of the B5 A4. Still miss that car; it had 225k miles & still ran very well, & I kid you not that it still had the original clutch in it.
|
I love the color; it seems to be a head turner
It's caught the eye of some of the Lotus, Aston Martin, & Ferrari drivers around here. Down side is that everyone wants to race all the time. Especially the buttstain GT guys.
|
Saw one the other day, and it didn't fail to turn my head.
Then again, any color but Canvas Beige makes me happy.
|
I haven't seen too many Canvas Beige Audis in person
Silver & black seem to be the dominate colors around here. IMO the white USPs are pretty dang sweet looking too.
BTW, I saw an earlier post by you on another thread & have been hesitant to ask, but what does FTW mean? I'm usually pretty good w/ acronyms being former military & all, but this one stumps me. Maybe I'm just getting too old :-/ Given the context I assume it's not the proverbial F The World variety. |
Hehehehe...I laugh because I spent half my time decyphering these acronyms.
I believe it means "For the Win." Probably a reference to Hollywood Squares (e.g. "I'll take Whoopi Goldberg for the win.")
As for military acronyms... I'm a Federal contractor. My first few months in Washington, I was clueless. And now I'm moving back and working with DoD, and you have the advantage over me in that arena! Oh, and if you click on the make/model link in my sig, there's more Canvas Beige Avant goodness, if you like that sort of thing. (For me, the color is a cross I bear, overridden by the rest of the car, which I love.) |
ugh.. lazer 1.8t USP is exactly what i wanted but theyre just so rare. Jealous--->
|
Sorry for the late response; I've been out of town w/ my job
I still use a lot of acronyms because I'm still a federal employee, just not military anymore. I'm very proficient in DoD's acronyms. Just don't ever let anyone tell you to get them an ID-10t identification tag. If you paid attention, it spells out "idiot." Also watch out for 50 yards of flight line, a bucket of prop wash, or my personal favorite: go get the key for the plane. At one of my old agencies, we had a Strategic Plan Implementation Team (SPIT). I could go on for hours.....
