I just stumbled upon this today....
I always wondered why our radios never seem to sound as good as it should. Well, I was going thru the radio menus and came across the "RAD/NAV" setting and found it set at negative 5 (-5). I changed the setting to zero and the radio and CD player sound much better. The volume is louder and plays with more punch. It's not a total cure for the sound system but it helps. I checked a friends '02 this morning and his was set at -5 as well.
To get to the menu mentioned above, hold down the menu key for about 3 seconds. Once in the menu, I believe it's the second or third sub-menu. |

Is that Bose or non-Bose?
|
My system is a Bose.
|
Great! I'll have to try that.

do the 02's have the "hidden EQ" like the 00's BOSE????
with system turned off, press the 5 button while turning system back on.............the screen will appear with 5555 5555, the default settings for the EQ.
I adjusted mine to something along thew way of 9768 8768. way improved the overall adjustabilty, and sound quality! This maybe a Repost???? just $0.02 tossed in. 8-) |
Unfortunately, the 02's no longer have that...
