i need new tires. what should i get? something not too expensive but good performance and treadwear.

i've been looking to buy the Kumho ECSTA 711 tires. they're about $66/tire.

Default Kumho also has a special where you get $40 rebate with purchase of 4 tires...
Got some Ecsta ASX's in 235/45/17 A/S about a week ago from TireRack for $87/piece

Default I have to say i LOVE Kumho's i had them on my umm.. Civic Si for years...
That was before i JUST became a proud papa of my 04 A4 Ultrasport but i have to say i loved them but i hear they arent great for snow but did awesome in the rain.

Default I run the same exact tire. Great tire for good price.
Actually the promo ended on 08/12/2006. Wish I had bought a set to go for my summer wheels.

Default yes, I'm very happy with my Proxes4 on a daily driver. good wear, great wet/dry. >
I also loved the T1-s which I had on a BMW, awesome tire.
I'm probably getting the T1-R when my current ones wear out.
