If I am running ET47 wheels, should I get 10mm spacers?

If you're comfortable running spacers, they will help...
First, spacers will help the asthetics by pushing the wheels out a bit (they probably look pretty tucked right now). You could even do a 15mm spacer in the rear.
Second, you'll have proper clearance with them. An 8" wheel should ideally be around a 35 offset.
Here's a nice offset calculator to help you...

Some people think spacers can be a bad idea...
because they change the geometry of the suspension and how the load is being distributed (handling can be compromised). You also have to make sure you get a good hubcentric spacer that will mate properly with the wheel and the hub or else vibration can occur because the wheel isn't spinning on it's axis. MTM and H&R both make good spacers with the right fitment.
Do a search of the archives to find many discussions on this (the S4 forum has some good info). Even people who are against them will agree that a 10mm spacer is pretty conservative and won't change things too much.

Don't say "no way" unless you have done all the research...
I'm not saying that a mild spacer is dangerous, but it's a fact that unless you're accounting for the spacer with a less aggressive wheel offset, you are causing more wear on the bearings than the manufacturer intended. Whether or not it's significant, I do not know for sure...
