I just dropped off my 06 A6 Avant and it looks like we have to do all of them...

56000 miles had all of them replaced

Default had one fail at 55K miles
Dealer replaced all under CPO. Wow this thread started a looooong time ago.

Had #4 fail at just over 120k miles. Replaced all 4.
I'll blame the failure to my recent Revo upgrade and 4 really old coil packs.

Don't know... Got the latest rev from a VW dealer. I wanted it fixed- want to get at least one day on a track event.

coilpacks 2 and 3 went out around 105,000km (65,000miles). still had the older L versions when it blew. i was driving the car pretty hard the night before and also when it blew.

replaced all 4 with the newer R versions.

2002 A6 Quattro with 105k miles. Failure on #5 -- went ahead and replaced all 6 for $400 instead of just the one for $200.

Count me in. 2002 A4 1.8T, one went bad, replaced all four at 43k miles.
