I'm looking at getting 17"s with a 245/45/17 tire for the summer - Ja oder Nein?
|
Yay.
|
for the trip? then i would say yes. what are you going to do with your fliks?
the gunmetal may look better on my car.

I dunno, it would be for a while, not just for the trip...I'm loving the chunky look lately...
plus there's just so many benefits:
- lighter - stronger - cheaper - more comfortable that said, here are what I've narrowed it to: In order: - Enkei NT03-M - OZ Ultraleggeras - TR Motorsports MT1 I'm leaning towards the OZ UL's solely because they're black and would hide the smallish wheel a bit better. Second choice would be the Enkei by very little because of that reinforcing ring. As for the fliks, I dunno - they're still pretty new, curbed one but that's the spare - the tires are freakin' barely used at ~5k miles. The winters are on those right now and probably the last season before I need to scrap the tires; might sell it, might become the dedicated winter. That's a bit ironic, go bigger (but narrower 235 vs 245) for winter. |
OZ UL a little too edgy for the B6 i.e. skip. Enkei too JDM i.e. skip.
I'm really loving the TR MT1 tho (nice and light too). Considering picking up a set for winter use.
Here how they look on the RS4: |
Ja - of the 3, I like the Enkeis. Personally, smitten with split-spoke designs.
|
I dunno. I'm not a fan of the centre cap area. Too much going on there.

Hmm... A bit too edgy/agressive looking (imo). Just doesn't flow all that well.
|
yea I saw that, only reason I threw it into consideration
they're just as thin/edgy as the UL's IMO. Also it looks good on that car b/c its an RS4, colors nearly match, and it's 18".
Not sure how 17" would look. I'm leaning towards the UL, unless I can find a good refinisher - i'd then just paint or powdercoat the Enkei's. |
