Default Interested in purchasing a B6 1.8T

Hey everybody, i am new to the forum.

I really want to purchase a 2002ish Audi A4 1.8T quattro tiptronic.

I have done some research but i decided to consult the experts.

What are some things i should look for when i buy, obviously service history , but anything in particular(ie. water pump,Timing belt)?

I expect repair costs to be very expensive so does anybody know a good indie in the central PA area?

Anybody have a B6 A4 1.8T quattro Tiptronic for sale, within 100 mi of harrisburg PA?

And could someone run a carfax for this vin:WAULC68E62A136215

THanks!

If you have a vin, an Audi mechanic/service writer can pull the records on the car from the audi data base to check for anything problematic, and to see if the oil changes, etc were done. Car fax shows a few things as well, like how many owners, if it was a rental car, etc. Cars CAN have accidents and not have it show on the car fax, especially if the owner didn't report it, so still give the car a look over for overspray and wavy panels or poor panel fit.

I just bought a 2002 1.8 Auto and it is a nice car. Want to soften the ride out a bit by changing to Koni FSD shocks(it has a bit of a harsh ride with the sports package, especially as the OE shocks get some miles on them). Overall, I like the car and recommend it.

What color are you looking for? Some great deals on them in California right now.
