January Audi Sales down. (FYI)

Blame the NAV. I'm sure that Audi has lost hundreds of sales because of it.
I hope the sales go down even further. That way we can get NAV+ or a variation much sooner. Keep up the good work Audi. Don't blame the economy. The Economy was much worse in January 2002.

Speak for yourself. The Honda Accord has a nicer NAV than the A4. Go figure
And what about the people who do care about NAV? I guess that they wont be buying an Audi. However you slice it, Audi is limiting options. The fact remains that Audi's sales are down. Anyone looking for a high-end car with a high-end NAV needs to look elsewhere. Mecedes-Benz, BMW, Lexus,Infinity, and Acura all offer nicer Nav systems than Audi. Even the Low-end brands offer a Nav w/map (Toyota, Honda, Nissan). There is no excuse. Audi's NAV pales in comparison when compared to every other NAV system that is being offered in America.
My current vehicle has NAV w/map. Why Shouldn't I expect my next car to have the same? My next car will have a NAV w/map. It wont be an Audi if they keep following the same path. There are viable alternatives.

There are alot of things they could do to the A4 to improve sales
painted lowers
power seats
coil packs (somewhat on track right now)
tuning options
But that would take time and money, which they seem to not want to take.

Nav has nothing to do with it at this price level.
I had maybe 1 in 100 to 150 potential A4 customers even ask about Nav, let alone make a distinction between the arcade version and the simple version. At $3200, it's not something to be offered in the lowest priced model versions. I lost maybe 1 sale across all models a year due to a non-screen car. When you factor in the licensing costs, it's just not worth it - especially when something far better is around the corner.
When comparing Japanese to German, comes down to people looking for a good driving car, or a high gadget per dollar count. You also need to remember that BMW prices their cars higher than Audi. The Nav system in both the Audi and BMW share the same guts, you just get a screen in the BM.
When MMI comes in the A4, it'll blow away all the other NAV systems.

$3,200? Every other NAV costs between $1,500-$2,200.
The Nav in the 3-series lists for $1,800. The C-Class $2,000. If Audi cannot offer a NAV system for less than $3,200 then they are really in trouble.
