Longevity? for c/o's vs spring/shock combo
Ive heard that spring/shock combo can last for the life of the car.... vs coilover they might not. Is this true? Or will they both equally wear out the same time?

Re: Very funny April =) So if your the daily driver in this case
would you go with a spring/shock combo? Money factor isnt much a concern, im more concerned with having a product that will last a long time.

Well, it depends what you want your car to do. What car you had before.
What feel are you looking for ?
If you had an M3, RX7, etc, or plan to do a littel autoX, then consider coilovers. Just keep in mind that you will have to rebuild them from time to time. They can be harsh - keep in mind the roads where you live and if you have wheels that will bend easily ( stock are pretty strong ).
A spring shock combo is usually more durable and a little more comfortable. You still get a much more controlled ride over stock, but not the totally locked down feeling of the coilovers. It also won't loosen up the chassis as much over time - a consideration if keeping it a long time.

I have coilovers on my car and use it everyday. I also...

I plan on getting coils when I pick up my 02' A4.
