Default looks like Wayne's right-angle O2 sensor block took care of my O2-related codes...yay!

bad news: coolant is dripping down the front of my block, looks like the water pump is leaking - again. And to make matters worse, when the last one was installed, the head of one of the screws holding the water pump to the block snapped (possibly why it's leaking now, though that was over a year ago). Who wants to guess how much it will cost to have it drilled out/tapped?

edit: link to Wayne's block below, may help others running a HFC/TP that are getting O2-related codes

link

Default I did something similar on the 1.8T Beetle I used to have. >

I used 2 spark plug arrestors, with one drilled out to fit the 02 sensor.
They have the same threads as the 02 sensor and cost like $2 at most autopart stores.
The only issue is the angle and whether there is room to mount them without hitting the body or sticking down too much.

Default yeah I tried that first and it didn't cut it

plus drilling it out wide enough to fit the O2 sensor reduces the wall of the arrestor to paper thin at best

I guess I was lucky enough to get it to work. Then I sold the car... figures.
