Multitronic software upgrade

I have just had the multitronic software upgraded (posted about it here some time ago). As a first impression, the roll back issue on steep hills seems to have improved, but I will test it on a really steep hill yet just to make sure ;-)) No other change is noticeable though.

Besides, I am still waiting for an answer from Audi AG Germany to my question as to what types of cars are affected and have to be upgraded. Maybe all you guys out there with a multitronic should have your VIN# checked as to whether you need an upgrade or not..

2.0? when did you get the car?/build date?

Build date is 08/2001...

I have met another guy in a German Audi forum who got a letter from Audi AG reminding him of the upgrade.

Comment from my service manager...

As I asked the service manager why this upgrade is needed he replied that it improves the multitronic delay which is seen on some vehicles and the upgrade can be applied to all multitronics...
