are new cars delivered to dealership with plate holes? or do they make holes at dealership?

Dealer does the holes. My past two Audi's have no holes (front plates are required in my state too).
Did your dealer get your car in trade from another dealer. If not, your dealer drilled the holes.
Some dealers you will have to request they do not drill the holes. My dealer does drill them unless you request, even though plates are required in this state. The MB I just bought for my wife, his no holes drilled too, but I had to request that from dealer.
Front plates suck!!

Same here in Texas - just tell them you dont want a front plate installed...

I'm in TX too, no plate holes here either.....
I didn't even request it, they just didn't put it on, period. Paybe it had to do with the fact that the car got off the trailer at 10AM and it ws in my garage by 3PM :-D.
