no heat from center vents?
ok, so there's three sections.. up, down, and center.. whenever i have both down and center clicked, the heat stops coming from the 2 center vents, but instead goes to the two other vents on opposite sides of the car.. why is that? if i lower the temp a little bit, the heat will start coming from the center again..
when the a/c is on, and you hit down and center, air comes from center and the bottom.. i sort of like having that setup with the heat.. in previous cars, i'd get nailed in the face with all this heat, and it'd drive me crazy.. this car i actually feel comfortable in when the heats on. anyone else notice this? |
hello, hasn't anyone ever used their heat.

Glad to hear my HVAC isn't broken...
One day I manually changed to the same setup as you. After a few minutes, I heard the dampers changing and the air stopped blowing out of the center vents. It usually does. Don't know why it sometimes doesn't.

I noticed this, too. Not sure why it happens.

I just turn on my seat warmers and leave the heat off

Just tonight, in fact, driving home--
I noticed the same thing. First I thought I hadn't read the manual closely enough and had missed a particular button for heat. Then I thought the fan was blowing especially loud. Then I thought it isn't even blowing heat, it's just blowing, but by the time I had driven ~1.5 miles, the cabin of the car was warmer than I wanted it to be (temp set at 70), so I turned it off. The seat heaters work beautifully--much more subtly and much more quickly, by the way.
It was 12 degrees when I woke up this morning and about 30 now, but no sign of snow yet. |
oh, and P.S. re: post above a few lines:
I had falafels and hummus last weekend. Awfully good!
