Default Oil in my cylinders.. wtf?

A few weeks ago, I posted about how my car would sometimes rough idle on cold mornings.. Engine light would flash, but after about 15 seconds, all would be back to normal and card would drive just fine..

Yesterday, I replaced all plugs and coils and when I pulled the old ones out, they were covered in oil, especially the plugs...

Any ideas? Wasn't burned off or anything, still dripping... Last oil change was about 8K miles ago.

Replace your valve cover gasket(s). Easy fix.

Default I saw the tech article, seems relatively painless. In the meantime,

do you think this will cause any issues w/ the car?

I wouldn't wait too long, if the oil loss is minimal it shouldn't be too big of a deal.

Default Where was the oil, on the "outside" of the plugs, or on the combustion chambers side,...

with "wet" firing tips?

Default It was on the "outside" for sure... not sure if it dripped down when..

.. I pulled them out. There was some oil on the coils as well.

Any ideas?

Default Agree, sounds like a simple valve cover gasket..

Fairly straightfoward DIY project.
We've got the gaskets in stock.

Default Well, so much for that.. Car was rough idling again yesterday morning >>

when I started it up. Would "oiled up" plugs cause this?
