Default Looking for feedback on APR vibrations...

I knew about the on-throttle off-throttle thump due to soft engine mounts, but also noticed another scenario. When I accelerate hard, say in fouth gear from 2800-3000 rpms, I feel another vibration. It feels like the maybe the engine is just shuttering on its mounts from the twisting forces and is trasmitting the vibration to the cabin. Has anyone else noticed this, and has anyone seen this go away with a snub or driver's side mount? Thanks.

Default Did you have these vibs, before..........

If not, does it feel like it's coming from the drivetrain like through the tranny/exhaust tunel between the seats. Let me guess your in fourth gear at about 50-55mph and you decide to accelerate without down shifting and you get this buzz like vibration. If your answer is YES to all the above, Welcome to the B6 chip syndrome. The B6 as a dual mass flywheel design and when chipped it creates a low hum /vibration.

Default Interesting.........

No vibration there before chipping and I don't consider it problematic. Just looking for some validation on the symptom. Thanks for the info. BTW very nice ride.

Default Don't worry about the vibs, it's an annoyance not a mechanical problem......

So I have been told.

Default I hope it will help but........

From what MTM in Germany told me, it's internal to the flywheel, clutch and pressure plate and the only way around it, is to change the whole assembly by one that can withstand more torque and horse power. $$$$$

The humm may not leave, but maybe some of the vibration will.
