Pedal Mod...Has NE1 done this w/ the TT or GTI Pedals on our B6s???

^^^^^<u>TT</u>..............<u>GTI</u>^^^^^</center> It appears as if the pedal mounting needs to be modified in someway but not sure to what extent...For sure the dead pedal will need modifying. The mod to be 100% complete and IMO won't look right w/o the dead pedal...Modifying the dead pedal, will it looked to "Butchered" for it to fit on our B6's??? <center><img src="http://e-partssales.com/Merchant2/graphics/00000001/beetle%20turbo%20s.jpg"><img src="http://e-partssales.com/Merchant2/graphics/00000001/TT%20DEAD%20PEDAL.jpg"></center> I currently have the Autovation Pedals (matte finish w/ the "A4" logo) in my ride and they are pretty cool and I picked them up at a great price...These did not need any modifying at all...Went on clean. <center><img src="http://www.autovation.net/products/Audi/A4_S4/A4S4_pedals/images/smDBWAudiPlain_4B.JPG"></center> Really just wondering if the TT or GTI setup would work???<ul><li><a href="http://e-partssales.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=P&Produ ct_Code=TTpedals&Category_Code=HS">Where to Get ON SALE (Suncoast Motorsports)</a></li></ul> |
well i know the gas pedal from the TT works in our car w/ just a little bit a cutting...
but i'm not sure about the others, i didn't look at the part number before installing them and i'm not taking them out... as for the dead pedal that would be nice it one of them could work... i should take a look at my gf's Golf and compare her dead pedal to ours...
|
So what yer saying is the "all" the TT pedals worked w/ a tweeking...
of the gas pedal? If so, that's great...How are they held in place?
That would be great if you can find out if the VW dead pedal is at all similar and if a little bit of tweeking is possible to the TT or VW deadpedal would be possible? TIA for checking ;) |
well not exactly...
as i said the gas pedal from the TT works, with the only mod needed being cutting off the rubber band at each end so that it can slide over the stock pedal, it then should be glued on... well since mine isn't glued on, it comes off very easily so i was able to cross check its part number with ETKA and it's the TT pedal...
now for both the clutch and the brakes, since like an idiot it didn't occur to me that it would be a good idea to record their part numbers, i don't know... and as they actually take the place of the stock pedals and they're a PITA to install, i'm not going to remove them to check the numbers... sorry... as for the dead pedal, iirc the Golf one is smaller than ours, but i'd have to take a look again... i know the "TT style" pedals for the Golf are much smaller then the ones i've got on the A4... i noticed that when i installed them in the Golf... |
Someone recently posted this site, they have some good stuff...

pedals
Help me out guys what is the deal then with these pedals?
I would love to have them on my new 2007 a4 sline cab. Nice touch to the silver trim. What do I get and where? I saw the TT comes stock but the dealer parts person has no clue.. Marti |
RS4 pedals are a direct fit, all 4.. many shops have them OEMPL.us, ECSTUNING.com, performance-cafe.com..
|
I have! Mine's a Tiptronic and has: (1) B7 RS4 dead pedal, (2) Touareg brake pedal, (3) VW GTI gas pedal.
The gas pedal comes up a bit short, but you really can't tell...it's held down by some adhesive. I got the latter two from DolphinDaddy (don't know if he's still around), but if there was something that fit the gas pedal better, I would've bought it instead. |
