Please Help: Brake upgrade bleeding not working
So I got the S4 calipers with front and rear stainless lines. Went to bleed and I have taken a full bottle out of the right rear and still getting air. I checked everything I could for leaks and all the bleed valves are closed. After doing the fornts I did have the fluid drop below min before adding, although it was not dry.
Any Help? Thanks in advance. |
Re: Please Help: Brake upgrade bleeding not working
Are you bleeding in the correct order:
Passenger rear, drivers rear, drivers front, passenger front. |
Yes
|
Are all the other bleed valves closed on the other brakes when you are working on one of them?
|
How much pressure are you putting into the bleeder?
|
The instructions for the bleeder state that you may still get small...
air bubbles in the fluid after all the air is out of the system. This air is coming from around the threads of the bleeder screw you are working on. Since the air is being introduced outside the system it is OK. Place some wheel bearing grease around the threads of the bleeder screw if you want to make sure this is where the air is coming from. The grease will seal up the threads enough to get the job done. Hope this helps.

Close to 2 bar.

Bang the calipers with a mallet. Pesky 'lil bubbles stick to the inside of the bore.

Yes, checked that last night
