question on changing color after order
(this was posted to the wrong forum earlier)
I placed an order on Nov 16th for a black A4, but i decided blue is better so i called on Dec 4th to ask for a color change. my sales just got back to me and said the color can't be changed since the car is already in production and it has a ETA of Feb 11th. does this sound right? i saw an old post in the forum stating that color can usually be changed within 2-4 weeks of order.

they can tell you whatever they want...
Even if they could, they are not obliged to make a change after you place the order. Plus, the time frame is tighter than you think... the longest part is the delivery process.

The timeline sounds right. Sales manager can sometimes
call in a change. Instead of just trying to change it via computer, the manager needs to call AoA, and fax over a confirmation of change. AoA then tries to change it for you with Audi AG. It may not fly with the factory though.
