Rain Sensor Q's
The one TINY thing that irks me about the car is the crappy selection of intermitence delay for the wipers, not enough delay choices. Not sure about Audi, but do they offer auto rain sensors for the 6 or 8? If so, could one be moded into the A4? I would love to have that on the car.

It's irritating that VW has it in some models, but not Audi! There had been talk about (more)
retrofitting the Hella aftermarket raintronic kit into the new A4, but Hella claims they don't have one that will work yet. Someone here was going to try it with the universal kit anyway though. Not sure what happened...

That idea's on hold until Audi fixes the wiper circuit wiring schematic.
In the Bentley it doesn't show any interconnects. I'm going to spring for the full wiring guide from Audi Tech Lit and see if it's more complete.
However, there have been VW/BMW posts about how the auto wipers got to be very annoying after a while. They'd come on at inappropriate times, or wouldn't, and weren't always a better solution than the manual switch.

Yeah, I had it on my old VW GTI from the factory (more)
and once you got used to it, it was pretty good. The problem was due to the way they're designed. Because the sensor is only up at the rearview and had to detect a difference in the diffraction of light, some light mist building up or a splash on part of the windshield wouldn't always be "caught". You'd end up playing with the sensitivity a bit to get it to be more responsive.
However, in intermittent or continuous rain, they worked very well, finding an appropriate speed on their own. That's my complaint with the intermittent wipers - it feels like the fastest intermittent setting is too slow, while the slowest continuous setting is too fast - no in between.
