Default rear seat squeaking?

The right side of my rear seat squeaks when I go over any minor disturbances in the road. I had someone ride in the back and confirm it . . . also, when he sat on the right side of the seat it didn't squeak. Has anyone had issues like this? It's a very high-pitched squeak, and extremely annoying.

Default sounds like it's a little loose if the weight of the passenger stopped it

investigate all the bolts. try lifting on the seat to try and determine if it's loose. just a thought.

Mine is exactly like that. I figure some grease will fix it, but I'm lazy.

if it's loose then the grease will only be a temporary fix.

Default I have the same thing...

Dealer applied a piece of felt to the post for the latch. It still squeeks. When checking to see what they did when I got the car back I could hear the hinge on the seat squeek as I folded it down. I tried to squirt some silicone grease in the hinge, but the part that pivots is buried inside the seatback. I think if I get a can with one of the red straws on it I could get the grease where it should go. The dealer was no help, they told me that they never could hear the squeek (so why did they put the felt on?). Is it just me or are the shops too loud for the techs to accurately hear where a reported squeek or rattle is coming from?

Default I had the same squeak, but found the fix in a totally different area..

Yes, we also heard a high pitch squeak over bumps from the rear passenger side, I sat in the back many times to try to locate it. Sometimes it's there and sometimes it would go away.

Then, one day, after playing with the center rear overhead lights above the rear seats, the squeak magically goes away.

Now, whenever I hear the rear squeak every month or so, I give the light cluster a good punch and it seems to do the job.

yup, i've got the same problem. asked the dealer to take care of it during my 10k mile service, but it was returned the same. bringing it back next week. mine squeals like a bag of squirrels when i hit a bump... but if i lower the right rear seat i hear nothing. has to be coming from the latch (i greased it, no effect) or the hinge at the base. really annoying...
