So, I have both regulators go out on my 2004 A4. I have a few issues I've ran into.

I went to replace the passenger side and the torx screw behind the speaker is stripped.

Does anyone know the size of those screws so I can find a replacement? I plan on grinding down the screw or using a dremel.

Second, I replaced the regulator in the drivers side and now the driver side button does not work. All the buttons are illuminated and it lowers the rear windows and spins the passenger side motor. I swapped the two motors and I got the same problem.

I've also noticed that the interior door lock button has stopped working. I can unlock the car with the button, but not lock it. The lock system also works without any problem using my key.

Well, I figured out my problem it was the driver master switch.

I took out the switch and sprayed a lot of MAF cleaner on the connector at the end of the wire. It had some oxidation on it, I then took the entire switch and just drenched it with MAF cleaner as well. Took all the buttons off and cleaned the contacts. Everything works as required now, however, I still ordered a replacement since the window lock button has been broken.

I also used a dremel to cut the torx bolt out and put some JB Weld on the metal plate behind the speaker the screw bolts in.

I picked up some M8 bolts I believe from Pep Boys that fit in without issues.

Both windows work great and it's nice to have them back, lol.

Now, on to the other 100 problems that need to be addressed...
