no no, the keys allow you to start the car, you just push the button to actually do the starting

the wiring, from my understanding, is relatively simple, and you have the option of allowing the keys to start the car with the button, or just the button, but simply cutting one wire or leaving it intact

I'm not sure how you'd actually "convert" a B6 from what we have now

to the B7 push button step up. It's really dependent on the nature of the push button/key distribution of features.

ah, ya, I misread his post...."the keys do have to be in the ignition".....

it must have been late....I thought it said "doesn't".

From a wiring standpoint it does sound pretty simple. I would not want to have to do that extra step of pushing the button.
