Hi Everyone,

I just witnessed my clutch disc ripping to shreds and upon some research found this is a disappointingly common problem. The old clutch had lots of life on it and was apparently a LUK. Yea it's pretty cheap but I've never seen a disc shred like that so I'm looking for tips on a much stronger clutch disc + cover combo.

I've seen a few aftermarket sets and was looking for opinions since I will be upgrading my transmission soon.

Car - 2004 A4 3.0 Quattro sedan
Looking for - strong high quality clutch disc + cover, decent life span
Application - hill climbing, possible towing (lots of shifting) & hard acceleration uphill to freeway
