Sunroof part missing
 

Hi all,
my name is Herbert and I'm from Darwin in Australia. I'm new to Audiworld. I hade my A4's roof lining done and the workshop lost a clip for the sunroof.
He is now disputing the whole thing saying that that clip was probably missing before he fitted the new roof lining including the sunroof sliders lining. Well, Im after a plastic piece that is cliped on the slider on the side where a mettal baar is cliped on. I have pictures of what I need. The whole new sunroof cost me A$1700.- and I checked all the wreckers here in Australia and can't get hold of this piece. If somebody hase a broken sunroof then maybe they can help me. See attached pictures.
The car is a Audi A4 1.8T quattro 2003

Herbert, I believe you are talking about part #5 in the attached diagram which is part number 4B0877165 no difference between right and left.

but the part you are refering to is located in the front of the sunroof. Where the part I need is in the back.
My picture number 5 will show you where about it is. I found this other part too, but it can't be the right one because it's in the front.

We can look through the ETKA for the clip, but it will take some time. I'll post back here when we find what you need.

Ok, so the only sunroof guide piece listed in etka is: this, click click. It is a universal piece that works on both sides as nolanb state. The ETKA drawing is slightly different than your picture but it is the only guide piece listed. I'm sorry we couldn't give you a difinitive answer, but this seems like it might be the only thing listed that will do what you need. It is a bit of a gamble, but we can't see any other part?

this is not the part I need. The one you are refering to is attached to the manual slider under the sunroof. The one I need is attached to the actual sunroof mechanism.
I was now able to get hold of a second hand sunroof. Mind you it still cost me A$ 650.-
Better this than A$ 1700.- right. It should arrive here next week sometimes.
