SURVEY: if you've had your dealer take apart your dash or door to fix something...

did your car come back with new rattles? I am trying to figure if it's worth the risk to have them go into the dash to get a rattle. Don't want to cause something new or risk them marring the finish, etc. Chime in kids...

well if they try to fix it a Fark it up...thats there problem to solve...take it in if you think (m)

its an issue worth addressing

Yes... cup holder started to buzz at 2100 rpm.

Also had driver's side door taken apart for repainting. Got it back with squeaky door seals.

I've had the work done, but not on my Audi. No subsequent rattles at all.

Yep...(more)

AfterI got hit in the doors, I had them replaced as part of the body work (in addition to getting lowers painted). Anyway, there was a horrible rattling I could't isolate; however I almost always listen to the radio while I'm in the car, so it wasnt really noticeable. Seemed to be exacerbated by cold weather too, and stopping quickly. To make a long story short, my old man insisted I bring it in for service (gotta love the free car wash) and after five hours and taking my door apart and everything, they figured out it was a wire going to the mirrors that they hadn't attached properly. Part of it was rattling around in the door. Anyway, the car is much better now and no more stupid rattling. Moral of the story: bring it in by all means, but dont wait for them to fix it!

it could've been worse. I saw once on 'Trauma ER'...

where some guy fell out of a tree and impailed himself on a branch about that big. And wouldn't you know it, he landed right on top right through his a$$, and about 14" into his body. It was not pretty to look at.
