Perfect time to test the Quattro!

Audi Junkie 03-14-2002 07:45 AM

Wait, if you are uncomfortable. Otherwise, just drive strait home.

Sport Package?

Dustin A4 03-14-2002 07:58 AM

Sport rims, wait. Otherwise time to enjoy the quattro.

Mountian_A4 03-14-2002 07:58 AM

If you have the sport package with summer tires...

while you can navigage better than most other cars, you occasionally get a real scare. Read the manaul and heed what is says: turn off the ESP. The care slides more but at least its predictable.

Nope-so it should be no problem with Quattro and ESP (which I hear is cool - my 99 doesn't have it)

kip 03-14-2002 08:00 AM

Turn off the ESP? Seems odd. I guess I don't know what ESP does.

Dustin A4 03-14-2002 08:01 AM

Not only will it not be a problem, it will be fun! I wish it would snow!

It's the idiot's in the exporers and yukons that scare me...

We had some pretty nasty ice up in Mpls recently. I'm driving at about 25mph (posted is 35). A suburban behind me is obviously unhappy with my speed - he's really tailing me. He finally decides to pass me.

After he does (he's going about 40-45 now), he has to slow down right away becuase he needs to make a turn about 50 yards up. He slows down, makes the turn onto the side street and the thing does a 180 and the back slides into the ditch. He is facing me now and as I drive by, I open up the roof and wave to him.

That was a good day.
