testing G65
Problem is I don't have a VAG-COM. I put my car to the local dealer who said he was getting a fault code indicating a short in the G65 sensor so he replaced it and advised I get the refrigerant recharged. Unfortunatley this didn't fix the problem and he was still getting the same fault code so he assumed the problem must be with the wiring to the G65 sensor but could be expensive to find.
So that is why I was trying to check the wiring myself.
Measuring the 3 wires On the sensor plug:
earth connection seems good
middle wire was reading 11v from the climate control unit? this sould be for sending the signal back?
I was getting no positive supply on the third terminal.
Can anyone offer any advice?
Cheers Kenny
You're out of warranty so I'd try and find a good VW/Audi/Seat/Skoda (all the same really !) independent. I know of two in the Thames Valley area.
The G65 sensor is the high pressure sensor on the air con system, I assumed it was common to al B6 A4's?. My car is stuck in econ mode so I'm not getting any air conditioning.
Unfortunatley my location limits me to where I can go for help. That's why I'm trying to look into it myself.
Cheers Kenny
So problem is solved.
Thanks to Derek for your help.
