Default Brands are not important either. STP is Made in EU, for cheap! Fram foam gasket seals awesome...

which is the most important thing. That hard urethane gasket on K&N fits like ****, imo. Don't let people BS about "flow", factory sized filter will flow perfectly....once you have adequate flow, more does NOTHING. As you probally know, K&N filteration is poor. A paper filter filters better and filters better over time too as larger pores get filled, the air has to pass through smaller pores. I clean and rotate my filters at 15k and toss them at 30k, but my trick is the 1st 15k, I have pantyhose or drywall mesh tape on them which I remove to give it a good cleaning.
