Is there a FIX for the water sitting on the door sills

i have been researching for countless hours on how to address the water drainage onto the door sill and sitting there until the door is opened. after having to replace a window regulator and getting a better visual, and my bad winter last year of the water on the sill freezing i hav been trying to find a fix. any input?? it's an 04 a4.

It's an Audi feature

I've pretty much given up and just use a towel to wipe down when it rains. Keep the doors open in the garage at night to dry. Check my pics.

I think this is "normal" based on the drain design on our cars. There is a drain hole on the bottom of each door. Also, the forward sunroof drains are just below the rubber grommet that carries the harness into the door (open your door and take a look). These should be clear of debris. If you weren't getting it wet under your door, your door would be filling with water or water would be staining your roof. I'm with MB-262, just wipe it down if you care to.

unfortunately, as you can see, the black rubber weather guard is on the inside of the door step (black plastic piece) and well.. it's doing its job, to keep water out from inside the vehicle. It's just a poor design to drain the water. Annoying yes, but unless there were a weatherguard around the door/frame, you'd still get the same results regardless of what you do. I'm in the same boat. Annoys the hell out of me because it rains/snows just about 9 months of the year up here and well, its annoying cleaning it all the time :) Best of luck.

thanks for the gut feeling responses. it's ashame there is not a weatherstrip on the outmost lip to keep the water off the "ledge". guess the only fix would involve parking on a steep hill which isn't close enough to my house.
