Timing belt broke on highway 04. 3.0 is it the end?
Not sure it’s worth fixing. The belt was less than 30k old. I’m going to miss my 6 speed….

It is done unless you are willing to fix it. If it was a 1.8, I’d say yes, get a replacement head and fix it but the 3.0 is a lot more work/expensive. If you do it yourself, then it could be a fun project swapping out the engine/heads but if you are paying someone then it’s not worth it unless you really love the car.

Gonna drag this out a bit. Not a 3.0 expert, but 30K? That's pretty unusual. Who did the work and might there be recourse?
Me. It was a big job. I’ll fire myself. I’ll do a post mordem to see what failed
Any thoughts on heads. Will both heads be mashed ore just one? Junk yard heads a good idea?
You’d have to reset timing and check compression but I suspect you bent at least one valve in all cylinders if it was at highway speeds.
I guess I’ll see if any one wants it for parts….sigh
