What should I expect to be problems on the 3.0 V6?
My Daughter has a 2005 3.0 with 110K miles, overdue for the "timing belt" job. She's had the car since 69K miles, and so far nothing to complain about. But I read of 3.0's being problem engines (4Driver4 has made mention, I think), and wanted some advice one what to watch out for as I collect parts for the service. My 12V 2.8 runs like a clock with over 225K miles, and I'd like this one to last too.

As you probably know, been around the forum for almost 3 years and I sure haven't gotten the impression the 3.0 is a problem engine. It is complex and more expensive to repair than the 1.8t, but since you have had the car for a long while and maintained it well, it should last easily as long as your 2.8. If you see one or 2 people with issues, it is probably unique to that car and likely due to lack of proper maintenance.

audi a4 b6
i had recently purchased a audi a4 b6 with 3.0 v6...i was wondering what the common things i should change? its at 133k and he has done the timing belt, thermostat, and i believe the water pump since it was all near the area, and thing else i should be concerned of that should be changed? like how long do clutches last on these cars or transmission?

Cluthces last as long as they last. What I mean by that, is it is totally dependent on the drive "cycle" (lots of highway, lots of stop and go, driver slipping the clutch, lots of racing starts, etc, etc). When you clutch takeup is very "high" in it travel, you know you are getting close.
