What sound system is better? 99.5 Bose system in a4 or 2004 audi symphony system?

The Audi Bose systems are not very high quality...
Had Bose in B5 and Symphony in the B6. The Bose was just garbage in comparison. I was happy to find a CPO sans Bose so I could piece-meal the system in.

Doesn't symphony come w/ Bose standard these days, or is it just my car?
Regardless, I took the Bose speakers out (except for the sub-standard subwoofer). Of course they're still a step up from the Nokia speakers that came in my old B5.

in my B5 it's a Symphony head unit, bose speakers
though the Symphony head unit was available with and without bose speakers/amps/etc.
However, in our B7, there is no Bose, yet the sound is *far* better than my B5, IMO.
